The streets of Redwood, California, are being stalked by a brutal serial killer known as The Scattershot Slayer - a tall, lanky man who kidnaps and tortures his victims before creating grotesque pieces of public art with their mutilated bodies. Viola Santoro, a freelance journalist, is tracking Scattershot for her independent investigation in hopes of writing an exposé. After she unwittingly captures the serial killer's attention, she receives the scoop of a lifetime. Scattershot kidnaps Viola, straps her to an iron chair in his dungeon, and forces her to watch his acts of torture - over and over. He doesn't harm her, though. Instead, he gives her what she wants his motives, his dreams, his life story.

Jon Athan, the provocative author of The Good, the Bad, and the Sadistic, invites you into the broken mind of a disturbed serial killer.

WARNING This book contains scenes of graphic violence. This book is not intended for those easily offended or appalled.

Scattershot Audible Audio Edition Jon Athan Rebekah Nemethy Jonathan Sixtos Books Reviews

  • Read just about every book written by this author and have yet to be disappointed. If you're looking for that fairy tale ending, you won't find it here. What you will find is blood & gore galore. That's what keeps me coming back for more. The exciting graphic horror is a true joy ride for those like myself who love the dark side at it's extreme. Highly recommend not only this story, but all this author has to offer. Can tell he puts his heart and soul into his stories and each has a life of it's own.
  • A great read from the perspective of a deranged mind. The killer, the detective and the journalist who went to deep for the truth. It's an intense ride and a great story.
  • I was looking for something different, boy I found it. The author, warns readers that this story is intense and graphic, all that is true.
The story is well written, but tough for me to read.
Jon Athan appears to be a talented writer, if these types of stories appeal to you, you won’t be disappointed.
  • The serial killer dubbed Scattershot is one demented SOB. I LOVED this story and felt for the innocent victims. As I stated during previous Jon Athan book reviews, I absolutely love how any and every character can end up as a victim, I was rooting for Viola, clearly Scattershot had other metamorphosis plans.
  • First time readin Jon Athan, and I was not disapointed. From the very start this book was non-stop. My only complain is that it left me wanting more. More from all of the characters. Maybe in the future their will be prequels? I am looking forward to reading more from Athan.
  • Liked it a lot. Not just a horror novel but also a good mystery story. Sex, gore, mystery all wrapped in one book. Highly recommend it
  • This was not my first book by him and it's will not be the last. He is extreme and on point but he does it in a way that you have to finish it
  • Was extremely gorey but was such a suspenseful read I couldn't put it down! Not for the faint of heart that's for sure.
